West-Running Brook
by Robert Frost

New York: Henry Holt and Company
First edition, 1928 (first printing, as evidenced by the word "roams" on page 44 on the last line of the poem "Canis Major"--in all subsequent printings the word became "romps")

SIGNED by Frost on the title page: "Robert Frost / Bread Loaf 1929". In the corner on the inside cover is written the previous owner's name "Harriet Bastian / Bread Loaf / -1929-" suggesting Harriet is likely to have been a student of Frost's at Middlebury College's Bread Loaf campus, where he taught summer classes/gave lectures for decades.

Condition: Illustrated. Hardcover; no dust jacket. Cover boards have minor general scuffing, edges are worn/rubbed, particularly on the fore-edges. Title on spine remains clear and bright. Interior has a few random faint smudges, and the lightly pencilled words "San Francisco" at the end of the poem "A Peck of Gold" on page 14, but overall clean and bright. The binding appears a little strained in a couple places, but still feels nice and firm.
