Franklin Library editions are elegant, leather-bound volumes, the following information can be found in some volumes in one form or another: Franklin Library uses acid-free paper, 50lb Franklin Library Smooth White offset, made to archival standards by the P.H. Glatfelter Paper Company. The book was printed by R.R. Donnelly & Sons, Co. Smyth-sewn, and bound in top-grain leather specially processed for fine books by the Cromwell Leather Company. Gilt page edges. Satin ribbon bookmark.
The earlier volumes from the 1970s have moire-silk endpapers, and after 1980 or 1981 they switched to having marbled or decorative endpapers rather than the fabric.
