Condition: Presumed contemporary fine rebinding, in 3/4 leather with faded purple/blue marbled papers like storm clouds, and endpapers to match. Five raised bands on the spine with gilt titling. Blind stamping to front and back covers lining up with the raised bands. Gilt page edges. Covers have edge and corners wear, light fading. Front free endpage has a bookplate, and the reverse has a note from the following owner, detailing provenance.

The interior is in excellent condition, clean and unmarked, and illustrations remain bright, with tissue guards. A beautifully presentable book of an iconic Canadian poet with poems about the First World War. The book is dedicated to the author's brother, who was killed in action in France, August 1916.
