Translated from the French (uncredited)
London: Printed and sold by Thomas Edlin, 1726. Stated second edition.
Front inside cover has the bookplate/coat-of-arms of Sir Ralph Woodward, Bart. (Baronet), with the motto "Libertate Quietem" (Peace of Mind).
Condition: Hardcover in contemporary binding, with fairly heavy scuffing to cover boards, front and back boards hanging on by the twine alone. There is spotting and discoloration found throughout the book, much heavier in the back section where the printer must have switched to a different type of paper, starting at page 305 the paper is suddenly much more darkened than the rest of the book. The title page is especially darkened, too, and some of the following pages are also noticeably darkened, if less so. When it gets to the actual content of the book, the pages are relatively clear and bright. The binding of the text block remains secure.
