Dust jacket is from a later printing! States on the dj "12th Large Printing". The principal difference between the two printings seems to have been the endpapers. By the 12th printing they had plain, uncolored endpapers whereas with this first edition we have the purple endpapers with the silhouette of the seated man, which is also found on the back of the dust jacket.

Will Durant writes: "He offers a guide to happiness. I have taken an almost sinful pleasure from every page."

Condition: Cover boards have minor general wear, spine somewhat faded. Interior is clean and neat, binding firm. Dust jacket has several chips, some tears, and the spine is sunned--see photos for specifics.
